It’s an incredibly formal way of saying we need a contract to be mutually-signed between our companies before starting any certification audit.
First of two audit phases where a Lead Auditor will evaluate the organization’s implementation design for responding to the management system clauses.
Second of two audit phases comprising initial certification with a specific focus on the effectiveness of the organization’s implementation of the management system.
The Lead Auditor will compile their findings and audit recommendation for the certification body. If there is agreement with the results, a decision committee will issue certification valid for 3 years.
Monitoring audit within 12 months following initial certification to verify continued effectiveness of the management system. Certification body may begin to sample elements of the scope for deeper inspection.
Additional audit in the second calendar year after certification of the management system. The organization may opt to expand or reduce scope (sites, products, services) during these annual audits.
Full system assessment once every 3 years following initial certification to be completed prior to the expiration of the current award issued for the management system. Completed as part of a single-stage audit only.
